Boston
Dan and I went to Boston for our 10-year anniversary last week. I know what you're thinking: 10 years? Dan is so lucky (or maybe just patient). Neither of us have ever been to that particular city, and I love the Northeast. Dan seems to like it, too, but I think he let me pick because he's just very sweet. His parents were so nice to come and watch the kids for us, too.
There is so much to see and do there. We didn't manage to cram it all into the three days we were there, but we did as much as we could. We took a trolley tour to a lot of the major historical sights, including the USS Constitution (one of the first US Navy ships) and Paul Revere's home, we took the ferry for a quick Boston Harbor tour, we drove through the college campus of MIT because we thought it would be important to see where our kids are going to go to school one day (on a full scholarship, obviously).
We took a nap every day we were there. It was so wonderful.
My favorite part of trip was the Ghosts and Graveyards Tour where they took us to a couple cemeteries and other sights in the city and shared some of the legends and ghost stories. It was very entertaining and not really scary at all.
And no we didn't eat lobster or crab. That novelty is lost on us because of Dan's shellfish allergy and my ignorance in tearing apart sea monsters. Maybe I'll have to practice at home or something because otherwise I'm just afraid of embarrassing myself in front of the experts in Boston. I don't know if they'll actually point and jeer and run me out of town, but that's how I picture the whole scenario. Plus I'd end up hungry, which would be the most awful thing. Don't worry, though because we did taste some of the local wares which were delicious, including the clam chowder, fish & chips, and Subway. Oh, and one day we ran across a farmer's market where we bought two pints of blackberries for $1.50. $1.50! And they were from Mexico. For the same thing here, we would pay $8, and Mexico is so much closer. What's the deal?
I would love to live in the Northeast one day. It is so beautiful, and I love the history, and the harbors, and the accents. Plus the homeless people are ultra-friendly for some reason. I swear that I wouldn't even mind that my hair becomes a big frizzy mess.

Happy Anniversary!! It sounds like you guys had a lot of fun!
