Three Years Old and Still Living at Home

A few weeks ago, after a particularly heated debate, Little H told me, "When I get big, and when I turn three, I'm leaving this family!"  Thankfully that day has come and gone and Little H has decided to stay with us.

I'm so grateful for that little girl.  She keeps me laughing constantly.  She had a hard time believing that today was her birthday, I think because she expected that three years-old would bring on some more drastic changes.  We were at the salon today getting her first big girl hair cut, and she looked so worried, but she didn't whine or cry because she could see me in the mirror behind her being all cheesy and giving her thumbs-ups.  I started to think about how one day she's going to be older and not care whether I'm there in the mirror or not, and I almost started bawling right there in the middle of everyone.  For all the headaches she causes, I still wish I could freeze her right now and stop her from growing up too fast.

Things She Loves:
String Cheese
Playing Kitchen
Clifford the Big Red Dog
Pirates
Plastic Bugs
M&M's
Reading Books
Making Buster Laugh
Eating Raspberries Right Off the Bush

Things She Doesn't So Much Love:
Real Bugs
Getting Her Face Wet
Sleeping in Her Own Bed
Mornings
Time Out
Nap time
Green Beans
Fox News (mainly because Dad watches it when she could be watching cartoons)

Here is a picture of her "family" she asked me to take a couple weeks ago.  The white bear next to her is always her "husband" when she plays house, and the baby is, well, their offspring.
