Yellowstone

While I was on maternity leave, we went to Yellowstone for a few nights.  We were all sick, and it rained the most of the time, but we did manage to squeeze out some good memories.  Little H's favorite part was Bear World where she got to pet the baby goats.  Anyone who's thinking about going to Bear World should know that it's not really exciting, and it's very expensive (free for Little H, though because she's under 3).  The bears and wolves just lay there.  I was expecting them to come up to our car.  If we go again, I'm going to tie a steak to our bumper.

Other than Bear World, the rain kept us inside a lot, and the only other wildlife we saw was the deer that tried to hit our car on the way home.  The stupid deer faked us out and darted back into the field, then jumped back out in front of the car behind us and took out his front headlight.  We saw him roll off the road and then bounce back up and run into the forest.  I coudn't believe it.

Rain sucks! As for Bear world,,, We've never gone, but we have been to the bear and wolf discovery center in west. Its more exciting for the adults cause you can watch the bears actually do something, and when the kids are bored theres a playground! When H is 5 she can go out and set food out for the bears to come and find later! Its fun.
