It looks like we survived 2008 without too much damage, and that's pretty much my same resolution for 2009.  We rang in the New Year quietly at home this year at home.  Well, I think it was quietly; Dan may have been snoring.  I was asleep myself so we'll never really know.

Christmas was also pretty calm.  We spent it with my family this year, visiting my parents and both sets of grandparents in the course of Christmas and Christmas Eve.  Little H loves spending time with her cousins.  She and Kelly are both so stubborn that their playing sometimes turns into a battle of wills (what is it with these bossy oldest children, huh?), but two minutes later they're best friends again.  Here are a couple pictures I did manage to take along with the cousins' picture we surprised my parents with this year.  Hope you all had a good holiday season that carries into the new year.  (I know you're going to get mad about the close-up, Nicole, but I thought it was so pretty.)

Also, if you don't mind, send positive thoughts down to New Orleans for the Utes tomorrow.  They're really going to need any help they can get.
