An Honorable Mention
Okay, let me preface this post with a disclaimer. First, I am a notorious blog stalker with no shame as to whom I stalk, as you will soon find out. Second, my blog is public out of principle, because I deserve to reap what I sow. Third, before you judge, just ask yourself if you wouldn't be curious, too, if you found yourself in the same situation.
Let me just start with the back story for those of you who might not know. Before we were married, Dan dated a girl who does the weather and anchors on Channel 2 on the weekend mornings. Dan and I met at school maybe a week before he started dating her. Not a big deal, because I was dating someone else at the time, too. Being friends with him—and someone to talk to—through that entire relationship, I learned a lot about her...and Dan for that matter. In fact, Dan and I were just friends for quite a while before we started dating (which I maintain is probably the best way to get to know someone you will eventually marry). I'll admit (before someone calls me out on it) that I fell for Dan long before he started feeling the same way. What can I say? I'm just more perceptive.
When I realized that his ex does the local news, I began to watch from time-to-time, if I was up early enough. Dan is never up that early on the weekends, but when I would talk about seeing her on T.V. he would just roll his eyes at me. These days I never sleep in on the weekends, but Saturday mornings are prime for cartoons, not news. I feel like I need to emphasize that I'm not jealous of this girl, just fascinated, sort of like a scientific observation. I have a hard time seeing what we have in common that would have attracted the same man. Needless to say, that when I ran across her blog linked to a friend of a friend's blog of course I read it. Who wouldn't?
To my point, I don't read her blog on a regular basis, but I do check it out once in a while. However, it was a friend who pointed me to this particular entry at this particular time. If you check the link, please don't post or say anything disrespectful. She seems like a nice person, and I don't want to start a blog war. I just thought it was funny.
Here it is.
As far as Dan being rich, though, I've searched everywhere since I read the entry, and I cannot figure out where Dan's hidden the money. The Blazer tickets were something that Dan's dad got through work, and the game I saw with Dan was against the Jazz. (I will vouch for Dan that he was cheering for Utah.)
