Our Spanish Family
One of Drew's new Spanish brother-in-laws is in the Spanish military. His unit is doing some training in Canada and the U.S. and one of their stops just happened to take them to Layton via Hill Air Force Base Thursday night. How cool is that? We just couldn't pass up the chance to bombard him at his hotel. Fortunately Darren was there to translate because I don't remember much from high school Spanish beyond, "Me llamo Megan", "fubar" (to smoke), "bailar" (to dance), and "besar" (to kiss). Oh, and I also learned "tienes accuenta aqui" which means "do you have an account here" when I was a teller. It would have been a very lame conversation.
Anyway, it was really good to meet Jose, and I'm so happy to see that Drew has such a great new family surrounding him when we can't be there to look out for him.
