The Reason We Aren’t Wasting Money on Disneyland…

Because we were in Portland anyway, we decided to spend some time on the coast.
Little H didnt like walking in the sand or the water.  (Surprising because she can't get enough of the sprinklers and dirt at home.)  However, she loved riding her mommy around like a pack horse up and down the beach chasing the seagulls.  Im pretty sure people were staring.

The highlight of her trip, though, was the detour to the Tillamook Cheese Factory.  Ive never seen anyone get so excited over a plastic cow.  She was running around in circles and reaching through the fence to pet the fake calf.  Then she would pause to stare into its eyes, waiting for it to move.  We probably could have ended the tour right there, and she would have been perfectly content.

So, note to self:
If I ever start getting the itch to take Little H somewhere exciting and expensive, Ill first walk her to the cow pasture a few blocks away from our house and set her loose.  Maybe Ill even end the field trip with cheese cubes on toothpicks (just to stay true to the Tillamook experience).  If this fails to get her excited Ill know that we need to take the next step up.  Im not sure what exactly that would be, yet, but bowling comes to mind.  Or maybe we could chase seagulls.  If only there was a way to find some seagulls in Utah

And in case you noticed and are wondering why I put this in the exercise category, let me reiterate.  I was running up and down the beach.
